The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days. The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

- 01. Walk 4 kms. training 6 Jan. 2008
- 02. Walk 6 kms. training 7 Jan. 2008
- 03. Add 2kms. walk training each day until I reach 20 kms.
- 04. Walk in Rotorua Marathon on 3 May 2008
- 05. Travel to London to walk around Britain
- 06. Meet my e-friend in Scotland, Lou, in person.
- 07. Meet my e-friend in England and my walking partner, Peter, in person.
- 08. Meet my e-friend in Eire, Sean, in person.
- 09. Meet my e-friend in England (ex my home town), Rosemary, in person.
- 10. Meet my ex-schoolmate from Musselburgh, Jeanette, again after 50 years.
- 11. Raise at least NZ$250 for charity in 2008.
- 12. Finish the WALK around Britain.
- 13. Enrol as student at Edinburgh University.
- 14. Finish my book about the WALK around Britain.
- 15. Finish our filmscript re WALK around Britain.
- 16. Get book re WALK published.
- 17. Get film re WALK produced.
- 18. 48 hours without computer . . .Ouch!
- 19. 48 hours without television . . . another Ouch!
- 20. Complete this list of 101 things to do - finding it difficult to imagine more than 30 or so at present.
- 21. Finish English/Latin texts transcription of Caesar's Gallic Wars.
- 22. Do 10 sit-ups in one session, increasing to 50, by 31 March 2008.
- 23. Attend a book signing.
- 24. Do a drawing class.
- 25. Do a painting class.
- 26. Recruit a new lister to 101 things to do.
- 27. Have 10 items done in 6 months.
- 28. Have 25 items done in first year.
- 29. Saw and axe enough firewood for next winter season.
- 30. Donate NZ$5 for each item on list incomplete.
- 31. Fly in a helicopter.
- 32. Fly in a glider.
- 33. Get golf lessons.
- 35. Have my own website.
- 36. Play poker on computer for money.
- 37. Play backgammon for money on computer.
- 38. Visit Auckland Zoo.
- 39. Visit Tauranga Zoo.
- 40. Visit Edinburgh Zoo.
- 41. Visit Rotorua Zoo (or equivalent).
- 42. Go to Nevada and meet Jim, an internet PokerStars.net friend.

Hows things? so much accomodation still to secure I see. Anything I can do?
The only thing that anyone can do now, on 12 April, Louise, is to find a kind banker who will guarantee that there is 3,500 pounds sterling awaiting mee when I land in london !!!
I've almost run out of the time I have to raise that amount, and while many wonderful people are doing great things for this venture, I dare not buy the discounted ticket from Singapore Airlines unless I know I'll have the money in London to keep us on the road for the 5 months. The deadline for the discount is 16 April.
however, I love all of you people who are being dso supportive of me in this!
